Contract Site Maintenance/Front-End Development

eMagine is looking for skilled individuals to help with basic site maintenance and front-end HTML/CSS development in our Taunton, MA office. Ideal applicants should be able to take a layered PSD and slice it into a working HTML web page using modern HTML and CSS methods. Applicants should also be able to make simple edits to existing web pages and templates - moving page elements, altering styles, simple text edits, etc. Work may include integrating HTML into ASP.NET templates using pre-existing code. Skills in .NET and Javascript are not required, but may be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Slicing and coding PSD files into working HTML files
  • Handling basic client-submitted requests as delegated by our maintenance lead.

Required Skills/equipment:

  • 2+ years experience coding HTML and CSS-based web pages
  • 2+ years solid and well-rounded Photoshop experience – working with layered PSDs, slicing files, resizing images, web optimization best practices.
  • Ability to address cross-browser styling inconsistencies
  • Ability to address simple site change requests efficiently, completely and correctly while accurately tracking time spent.

Other Useful Skills

  • Experience with Flash
  • Experience creating blog templates for various blogging platforms.
  • Experience with JQuery, MooTools, or other similar JavaScript libraries
